Accessibility Statement

Last updated: July 30, 2026

Everyone in our community deserves to find healthcare, including people who use assistive technology. TLH NavCare aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

What we do

Accessibility practices currently in place across the portal include:

  • A logical heading structure with one main heading per page
  • A "skip to main content" link for keyboard users
  • Keyboard operability for navigation, forms, and dialogs
  • Text labels and descriptions on form fields and buttons
  • Alternative text on informative images
  • Sufficient color contrast for text in the site's design system
  • Full content available in both English and Spanish
  • Spam protection on forms that does not use CAPTCHAs or puzzles

Known limitations

We are still improving, and some areas have known limitations:

  • The interactive provider map is difficult to operate with a screen reader; the Find Care directory provides the same providers in an accessible list format
  • Some provider-supplied descriptions and linked third-party content are available in English only
  • Some external websites we link to may not meet the same accessibility standards

Report an accessibility problem

If you have difficulty using any part of this portal, or need information from it in a different format, please tell us through the contact form — choose the "Accessibility concern" topic and describe the page and the problem. Accessibility reports are reviewed by our team, and we use them to prioritize fixes.
