Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 30, 2026

This policy describes how the TLH NavCare healthcare navigation portal actually handles information. We built the portal to work without accounts, sign-ins, or advertising trackers, and we describe below exactly what is sent, stored, and shared.

Information you enter

The symptom navigator asks for a symptom category, severity, age group, urgency preference, ZIP code, and insurance status. When you request recommendations, those answers are sent to our server, which uses them once to calculate the care recommendations returned to you. The navigator does not create a profile or account, and your answers are not saved to a database.

Search terms and filters on the provider directory and map are sent to our server as part of each search request so we can return matching providers.

If you submit the contact form or a data-correction report, the information you provide — your name, email address, and message — is stored in our database so our team can review and respond, and may be forwarded by email to our review team.

Usage analytics

The portal records a small number of anonymous usage events (for example, that an insurance-resource link was clicked). These events contain the event type, the interface language, and a page context label. They do not contain your name, contact details, or anything you typed.

We do not use advertising trackers, cross-site tracking, or third-party analytics scripts.

Server logs

Like nearly all websites, our servers keep standard request logs (request path, response status, and timestamp) used for reliability and security. Our application logs deliberately exclude query strings, so search terms and ZIP codes are not written to them. Our hosting infrastructure may additionally keep standard access logs that include IP addresses.

Cookies and local storage

The public portal does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser's local storage is used to remember one thing: your language preference (English or Spanish), so the site stays in your chosen language on your next visit. You can clear this at any time through your browser settings.

Third-party services

Some parts of the portal load resources from third parties, which receive your IP address as part of the normal web request:

  • Google Fonts serves the typefaces used across the site.
  • The interactive map loads map tiles from a third-party map tile service.
  • Healthcare professional searches query the federal NPI registry through our server.
  • A transactional email service delivers contact-form and correction-report notifications to our review team.
  • Our hosting provider operates the servers the portal runs on.

Storage, retention, and deletion

The only visitor-provided information we store is what you submit through the contact form and the data-correction form. Those submissions are retained while our team needs them for review and follow-up, and are deleted when no longer needed.

To ask that a message or report you submitted be deleted, use the contact form and choose the privacy topic; include enough detail (for example, the email address you used) for us to locate it.

About health information

TLH NavCare is a navigation and directory tool, not a healthcare provider, and it is not a HIPAA covered entity. The symptom navigator is designed not to retain your answers. However, anything you choose to type into a contact or correction message is stored as submitted — please avoid including personal health details, Social Security numbers, or insurance ID numbers in those messages.

Selling and sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade any information collected through the portal. Information is shared only with the service providers listed above (to operate the site), or if disclosure is required by law.

Security and its limits

The portal is served over HTTPS, form submissions are rate-limited and validated, and stored submissions are accessible only to the review team. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Privacy questions

For privacy questions or requests, use the contact form on this site and select the "Privacy question" topic. We do not publish a direct email address on this page to reduce spam; the contact form reaches the same team.
